@MrRyanchester6 months ago DONUT!! Doubt y’all will see this but in the slim shot I wanted to let y’all know something real fast- over the last month my truck got caught in a fire while parked overnight, my job became pretty unstable due to outside company circumstances, my cat needed emergency surgery, AND I tore my ACL and needed wild surgery and now can’t work cause I’m in hospitality and work on my feet.
I wanted y’all to know that I’ve been locked up in my apartment healing and things are pretty hard right now and I am working through a lot of “big deal” type issues (only 26 this is all new to me) and your channel has single handedly kept me laughing and smiling and entertained while I’m laid up.
Im trying to stay positive and smile through it all and stay productive working through all these moving parts and you guys have been a great way to smile and laugh. Thanks guys!

@Sirtop136 months ago I got a 2017 WRX new because I wanted a good daily that was reliable, that I could drive in the snow, but was also fun. I work at a Hospital in RI, so I still need to get to work when it snows.
And I haven't regretted it once. I have no plans on modding it or replacing it anytime soon. I might get a Z or something or a weekend car in the near future, but the base model WRX is an awesome daily work commute car. It's a comfortable car that can be pushed and fun to drive.
It's got some mileage after 6 years, but I'm confident it will start everytime I get in and it will get me to where I need to go.
I don't like the interior of the 2023 so I won't be upgrading, but when it changes to something I like I might.

@colinjohnston98244 months ago In Canada we get the sport tech package, it's the full trim package but comes in standard. The stock gen 5 wrx out performs stock gen 4 sti, with a much more robust base to push performance. You add 3k of mods to the vb and it will turn just as many heads as your full build. Or, 5k to upgrade Intake, straight piped, and tuned it will take the trophy every time. ...

@SuperDrummerJay6 months ago Definitely goes to show how much the exhaust sounds can make or break your driving experience. A decent nameless cat back or Invidia exhaust on the new Rex would probably enhance the fun factor by a huge amount.
I have a 2016 Forester XT, and as fast as it was, it was just too quiet compared to my 13 Impreza with a Borla exhaust. Bolting on a Nameless kit made it so much more fun to drive on a daily basis.
A quiet exhaust is like going through life without music. Not as critical as water or food, but it definitely enhances the experience so much with a soundtrack!

@AntsNigeriaone week ago I own the most fully loaded 2022 WRX with a Manual Transmission that I could buy. It does have the push button start and the big screen and suede everywhere possible. Being that I used to drive a 2007 Saturn Aura before I bought the WRX, it is quite the upgrade for me. I have soooo much fun driving it. I know it is not a super modified car like your Orange one, but I can still drive it hard and fast, and if something breaks, it is covered under warranty and I don't have to spend many hours fixing it. I get the appeal of modifying a vehicle if you have the time and expertise to work on it, but when I have work 50-60 hours per week and spend the rest of my wife and kids, a stock new WRX is a very fun vehicle to drive.
Unfortunately, my wife enjoys driving the WRX too. So she plans on taking it from me once I buy my new car, which will be a 2016 Focus RS.

@wild_lee_coyote6 months ago Not to mention the 06 WRX is till running about $15,000 to $25,000 for one that won’t need a new engine and tranny rebuild within the first month. One will make a good daily driver, the other is more of a play car that may be in the shop more than the road. ... 1

@carlosfreire8249last month E85 is mostly ethanol (85%) and modified engines can be harder to start with it — especially on colder days.
In Brazil, where I live, most road cars are flex fuel and many of them have a small gasoline tank under the hood that helps on the cold start. Not sure if this is a common thing elsewhere or something adapted for this market.
By the way, when ethanol was first introduced here, most cars still used carburetors. Ethanol engines were notoriously difficult to start — you had to pull the “choke” to momentarily get more fuel into the chamber, say a prayer, and trust it would start in less than five attempts.

@andypacmanperez6 months ago This was awesome. I own a heavily modded VA wrx and a bone stock VB both premium trim and i can tell you straight out of the box the VB is the best wrx ever made. And it has the most potential. The FA motors are really stout being that they were co developed between Subaru Toyota and Yamaha and there are examples of fa24 VB wrx making 600+ hp with a stock motor. I myself with my Fa20 have been making 400whp on my Fa20 in my VA for 4 years with no issues. ... 17

@KuyaPow6265 months ago Such a fun video 😂 I have that exact WRX and I just wanna put this out there in case you didnt know! It is making 300 whp on just a tune, and around 330 whp with the addition of an intake, and upwards to 380 who on E85, FMIC, intake, and a few other stuff. I think blouch turbo kitted people are easilt
hitting 450 whp. So when this car is modded apples to apples I think itll be more appreciated how much of an underdog the new WRX is. Oh yeah and the bolt ons are all gonna be significantly easier and cheaper than what went into Hi Car 😅 . I mean like $3k.

Only issue was added some oil after the track day. It's been modified heavily and I trusted it completely to not break down doing all that. It comes down to the owner and keeping up with proper maintenance for the most part. Great comparison video though, and I would personally take the old modified car 10/10 over a new car. ...

@tylercaras44886 months ago After owning my 22 WRX for a year and a half now can confirm car is fun. Have some light mods with a catback and other misc stuff and just doing the catback livens up the car a lot. The car with the plastic def doesn't look as good as the old ones, but if you look at AFD's wrx it looks amazing. Coming from my bugeye to this the turbo lag is pretty much non existent in the 22 and man at least at autocross the thing is a monster.
