We dedicate this song to our brothers and sisters from Sudan. Your contribution to the Arabic literature and music will not go unnoticed. You are a source of pride to the Arab people, and may Sudan continue to prosper and grow, and with it flourish its arts and reach a wider audience throughout the whole world.
Sayed Khalifa was a Sudanese singer. Khalifa was one of the first Sudanese singers trained in formal music theory. He sang in both Arabic and Sudanese. He is best known for his songs "Ya Watani" (My Homeland] and "Izzayakum Keifinnakum" (How are you?).
