Try out this Punjabi Dal Makhni which has a super creamy texture and the north Indian spices add delicious hot flavour of tradition to the Dal.
Ingredients:
1 cup whole urad/ black gram
¼th cup rajma/ kidney beans
Salt to taste
4 cups water
2 tbsp ghee
¼th tsp asafoetida/ hing
1 tbsp chopped ginger
½ tsp red chilli powder
1 cup tomato puree
Salt to taste
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1 tbsp coriander powder
½ tsp garam masala
½ tsp roasted cumin powder
½ cup water
3 tbsp butter
¼th tsp red chilli powder
3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
3 to 4 tbsp fresh cream/ malai
