@RBYW1234منذ 6 سنوات Always good to watch someone doing something they are interested in.
I think I watch for the process and any methods I could use for individual id="hidden5" class="buttons"> links.
I wanna make chains and individual links with good quality makes a difference in quality.
Not really the same but knowledge never hurts.

@HoY_82منذ 6 سنوات Not going to lie, the way you overlayed your sponsorship video over your work is Much more effective than how a lot of creators just tag on a full minute to the beginning or end of their videos. 136

@austinmayer1266منذ 6 سنوات If you want to do little to no work sanding the inside later it helps if you push the tool bit away from the part before you pull it out so it doesnt scratch the sides.

@caldxeeroمنذ 6 سنوات Beautiful craftsmanship, I'd love a ring like that, hope it goes on the store, keep up the great work.

@Jbrooks1219منذ 6 سنوات Have you ever tried to put your ring mandrel on a cordless drill lock the ring into the mandrel and then take it to the buffing wheel while the ring is spinning on the drill. I find you get an awesome polish that way. 1

@viscache1منذ 6 سنوات You can mask the internal wear band with Urushi lacquer while it is in the acid bath to keep it perfectly smooth. Then polish it out after and repaint id="hidden10" class="buttons"> it back in very lightly to create a protective layer so that those wearers sensitive to copper and silver will not be discolored. It is non-toxic and lasts for years. Urushi is the lacquer created to layer paper and leather in the armor of the Japanese Samurai. It was so impenetrable that in some cases it absorbed the energy of black powder rounds at close range. Prized for its properties it is still used in some high end furniture making and creating protective layers for sensitive jewelry wearers. ....وسعت

@1972Russianwolfمنذ 6 سنوات Have to warn you on base metal mokume. You need to make a liner to go against the skin from a material that won't cause skin reactions. Even then, id="hidden11" class="buttons"> wearers need to realize that their skin from the adjacent fingers will come into contact and can cause problems. We usually make a liner from Silver (not Nickel Silver) for this in jewelry. ....وسعت 13

@erikayala163منذ 3 سنوات what do you do with all the shavings? have you mixed them all together in one single piece of metal and experimented with them?
  • @
@llamaladyمنذ 6 سنوات Great ring as always!! I dont know much about ringmaking, however etching I do know a thing or 2 about, if you wanna get rid of the bubbles you could use id="hidden12" class="buttons"> a feather, also if you wanna play with patterns you could try covering up different parts before puting it in the acid, it could be a cool experiment :D ....وسعت

@TheCodyLaxtonمنذ 6 سنوات how do you deal with the copper oxidizing? @patrickadairdesigns
  • @
@hitchanoمنذ 6 سنوات What would the care be for a ring like this? The brass will need to be protected from tarnishing and copper from oxidizing right?

@TheInstinctWithinV2منذ 6 سنوات I really love these videos, love watching the process and the artistry. But is it a design choice or a necessity to make them that thick? Not sure if you id="hidden15" class="buttons"> just have really big fingers, or if the footage makes the rings look bigger than they really are, but they look somewhat uncomfortable? Definitely prefer narrower rings, myself. ....وسعت
  • @
@yaza862منذ 6 سنوات It would be cool if you had cut it kinda sideways like the first superconductor obsidian ring to get a more random pattern in the lines of the different id="hidden16" class="buttons"> materials. I personally think this way would be the prettiest one. But still great video, great video editing and most importantly great content. Keep on doing what you're already doing. ....وسعت 1

  • @
@zane6670منذ 6 سنوات Can you force a patina onto it? Brass and copper can patina pretty easily but nickel shouldn't. Also, saw some brass aging stuff online which might make a cool antique brass look

@jinxjones5497منذ 6 سنوات So precious metal prices for green fingers? or do you insert a silver/gold inner cuff?

@davedonovan2681منذ 6 سنوات Hey Patrick, great video, ad incredible ring! thank you for all the effort you put into producing these.
I was wondering if you could (or if you id="hidden18" class="buttons"> already have) put a list together of what you would call "the bare essentials" for getting into ring-making (i.e. lathe, bits, polish, paper, buff wheel, etc.). im just wondering what i would need to begin making basic rings out of nuts or coins or resin as gifts. thanks so much!

@NemoTrostleمنذ 4 سنوات Hey I worked at Vivint for 7 years! What is your relationship with them?
  • @
@jadesaber99منذ 6 سنوات could you make a ring out of a neodymium(or other) magnet it would be interesting to hear how it would feel to wear it and see if you could feel the vibrations of nearby electric currents
  • @
@christianiglesias1002منذ 6 سنوات That metal would make an awesome infinity gauntlet ring, you could use glow powder in place of the stones
  • @
@xaytanaمنذ 6 سنوات While the material is cool, I think I'd prefer if the 'grain' patterning was either parallel to the band, or on a diagonal. Perpendicular stripes id="hidden21" class="buttons"> with two polar sections isn't as appealing to me.
I wonder if you could do patterning in rod stock for mokume gane and damascus, I know you can in flat stocks and it can give cool looks to blades.

@loganharvathdesigns9612منذ 6 سنوات My gosh, this is maybe one of the most beautiful rings you have made yet. It may even beat the Tritium and Damascus ring. @claytonsteele96منذ 6 سنوات You should really look into how to properly use a lathe. Work holding and concentricity and stuff like that.
