University of Arizona Commencement Update: 2020 Ceremonies Subscribe: http://go.arizona.edu/yt-subscribe More than two weeks ago, the University of Arizona made the decision to postpone the in-person Commencement Ceremony for Spring 2020 as part of our mitigation efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19. After talking to student leaders and our campus partners, we are excited to share two important updates for the Class of 2020. Please see the video message above from President Robbins regarding a streaming graduation ceremony on May 15, 2020 and a special invitation to an in-person celebration later this fall during Homecoming Weekend. The University of Arizona existed before Arizona was a state. Our first graduating class in 1895 consisted of two women and one male. Since then, we've learned that we're better together. We do more when we work across backgrounds, skills and perspectives. That's how we've become long-time partners with NASA, leaders in both the arts and sciences, and able to prepare students to succeed in a world where most of the jobs today's kindergartners will have don't even exist yet. We know how to converge. #universityofarizona #commencement #presidentrobbins
