@gabriellegraham4103منذ 2 سنوات It actually is a decent amount. Olive oil is a pretty healthy fat so I’d prefer it over a canola oil spray 3099

@domerecipient3326منذ 2 سنوات 12 grams, and 12 millilitres is not the same in oil. Its the same in water, but oil is much lighter. 1292

@nannetteralphs9042العام الماضي That's actually kind of a lot. I'll put a third of that for most small things I cook, just enough to coat the pan. It's good to know that's only 33 cals 108
  • @
@riseofthefallen301منذ 2 سنوات Some of that oil will still be left in the pan though 157

  • @
@stevee2639قبل 11 أشهر A teaspoon or tablespoon measurement usually works well. @jerolvilladolidقبل 11 أشهر Its 100 calories if you drizzle it in a salad. But if you cook with it most of the oil will be left in the pan or evaporate 1
  • @
@vibonacciالعام الماضي It looks like more than I would have expected. 13
  • @
@MiguelZilongSanchezقبل 11 أشهر Realistically you lose a lot of that during the cooking process even deep frying never leads to more than saturating whatevers being fried by about 25%. id="hidden4" class="buttons"> Oil used in cooking is one of the last things you should be worrying about when on a deficit as long as your not using ten cups of it rather worry about what your cooking in the oil rather than the oil itself. This is not the case for using it in salad dressings etc. In which case you should definitely be counting it ....وسعت 1

@litkateقبل 10 أشهر You can certain oils in sprays that are 2 calories per spray and it real oil, that what we use 2 cal rapeseed spray oil 3
  • @
@proffesorDubالعام الماضي That’s a fair amount of oil, if your batch cooking, say a meal of 4 portions, that’s 25cal per portion (using bud maths/volume).
That’s a number of calories I think most can handle, but sure, use a spray full of loads of chemicals. ....وسعت

@bombdotcomistمنذ 2 سنوات 100 calories of oil is ALOT of oil. It’s only because you’re putting it on a wide plate like that it looks small.
And olive oil is extremely healthy for you. Not everything’s j about calories

  • @
@alexcauston2822منذ 2 سنوات That's exactly why I use olive oil. I would waste away if I didn't eat it 8
  • @
@tativizca4687قبل 11 أشهر 1) most people don’t use that much oil
    2) 100 calories isn’t much

  • @
@philipe1502منذ 2 سنوات I appreciate your content but I think this is counter productive for most people, aka. not competing or not an athlete.

@bignoel32العام الماضي You don't use all the oil in the pan, you don't need much of the oil and olive oil is actually a very healthy option to cook with natural good fats in it and the amount you showed is not accurate either. 1
  • @
@weelewism8442منذ 2 سنوات Tbh when frying chicken, a 1 cal spray won't work unless sprayed tons of times anyway lol so I would prefer just adding 50 calories to my dish 2
  • @
@ITSOVER9000notesقبل 11 أشهر yikes.PLEASE do not cut healthy fats when cutting. Also, the oil is just to base the pan, you are DEFINITELY not drinking from the skillet lmao 1
  • @
@Claireradusha99منذ 2 سنوات Use butter or olive do not use the spray. Or use ghee or beef tallow 4
  • @
@mathieugaudreault1069قبل 7 أشهر It's quite a lot actually. You use about 2 ml for an individual meal and 6-7 for a 3-4 meal prep. Also some oil like virgin olive oil or avocado oil id="hidden9" class="buttons"> are essential for long term health benefits. If you really need to you can use spray, but I don't think adding 30 to 60 cals of oil is that detrimental just don't use too much of it. ....وسعت

@bleachnbones7107قبل 9 أشهر Unrelated but as an Italian seeing that clear bottle made my skin crawl. For the love of God get yourself a dark glass one, it's not frying oil 1
  • @
@eulaguider21قبل 11 أشهر I add that amount with a tablespoon of melted butter to pour onto a large bowl of homemade popcorn. Which is very satiating. 1
  • @
@pandamilkshakeقبل 11 أشهر I'm Spanish/Greek. You take my olive oil away and I can't cook my countries' foods. 1
  • @
@Abcdefjh927قبل 11 أشهر That’s why it’s better to cook a lot of food with this amount of oil. So it’s multiple meals and you don’t eat all of this oil in 1 meal. Living with family makes it easier since the food is all going to be distributed between the family members, and also the calories. But if you live alone it’s harder because you have to pay more attention or just do meal prep ....وسعت 1

@smaswqa4208قبل 11 أشهر Its actually not that much calories (BASED ON THE LABEL) but FDA allows for 20% marginal error in calorie calculation so that same amount is probably around 120 not 100
  • @
@oscardanson7127العام الماضي 12 ml = 12 g in water not in olive oil because olive oil is more dense than water so it would actually be a bit less than that
  • @
@Solaire_Of-Astoraمنذ 2 سنوات Bro acts like thats not a lot of oil I’ll stick to butter though 1

@annitafonken5498منذ 2 سنوات We use Bertolles light olive oil to cook with because I don't like the heavy taste of extra virgin olive oil in my food. • @
@boblangford5514قبل 10 أشهر Except sprays ruin your nonstick pans. Instead, drizzle some oil on the pan, then rub the oil into your pan using a napkin. The napkin will absorb the excess oil you don’t need. 1

@shahadmerani3116قبل 4 أشهر i avoid olive oil at all costs because the amount of calories in one tea spoon alone is just insane
  • @
@thetorontogirlقبل 10 أشهر I mean if you cook like 3 eggs using that amount that's actually a good amount. Btw that's like the worst olive oil you can find. • @
@matthewb1529العام الماضي Olive oil can increase your metabolic rate. I use it in a calorie deficit, but im always making sure I don't over do it. 2
  • @
@ketorising81منذ 2 سنوات If you’re spraying those sprays for 8-10 seconds, it’s worse. Those nutrition facts on those bottles are for 1/3 of a second. 3
  • @
@josiahcruz9678منذ 2 سنوات That's actually more than I would use to lube up a pan, plus I rarely add extra after cooking unless it's pizza or bread, in which I'm not concerned with calories at that point 1
  • @
@weevil8025قبل 9 أشهر I just avoid oil all together, and I don't feel bad about it. If I want olive oil, I'll eat olives in their whole form, same with any other plant oil.
  • @
@clementineslaughter6904قبل 9 أشهر This is awesome because I need to gain weight. No one told me I could easily add more calories with oil. Genius
  • @
@kribbleمنذ 2 سنوات The "1 calorie spray" is the same exact oil. The reason it's "less" calories is because you're supposedly using less. If that's your goal, use less oil.
  • @
@MssNeetusharmaالعام الماضي Sweetie.just avoid plastic bottle oil packet.try glass bottle olive oil extra virgin..cold press
  • @
@tedfloresisisالعام الماضي That’s way more than I thought. Gonna start using half of that for dinner meals now lol
  • @
@TheClosingDreamsمنذ 2 سنوات I have always wondered if what mattered the most in the end isn't the oil that is absorbed by the food ? therefore making the overall quantity of fat id="hidden18" class="buttons"> you're using to cook not really representative calorie-wise. For example if fries are done right and fried correctly you could potentially ingest less oil than if you drenched your oven baked fries with olive oil. In that last case you are definitely consuming a 100% of the oil you are using. ....وسعت

@milanvujcichالعام الماضي Olive oil is so good. Such an easy way to ass calories in my bulk 1
  • @
@rnjbondقبل 10 أشهر I'd prefer real extra virgin olive oil versus processed canola oil spray.
  • @
@sloeginandsleep1170قبل 11 أشهر Related point, oils are not created equal. Olive oil is one of the healthiest fats available and is beneficial (in moderation) for your health. One cal id="hidden19" class="buttons"> sprays are normally substandard grades of oil cut down with emulsifiers and water. When my cholesterol was too high and I was meal prepping a lot, I always used cooking spray.I changed nothing else and kept making the same recipes using a teaspoon of olive oil and my cholesterol went down by 5% in a month. Anecdotal? Yeah, but it's a little too much of a coincidence for me to ignore.
And that is WAY too much oil to cook pretty much anything. I used that much when I'm batch cooking enough ragu to make 10 portions

@JwW-zt2djمنذ 2 سنوات That’s not olive oil.. that’s a tiny bit of police oil with the rest being canola, rapeseed and vegetable oil.. so bad for you 1
  • @
@lsgsrob2102منذ 2 سنوات You realize that the serving size for spray oil goes by the 100’s of a second. Either way you do it, it may be 100 calories unless you are actually being accurate
  • @
@joeramos4489قبل 11 أشهر yo that's a good amount of oil. enough to coat some potatoes or broccoli 1
  • @
@Daniel__2005قبل 11 أشهر Ignore this advice guys. Whether ur trying to lose weight or gain weight it doesn’t matter just use olive oil when cooking, u don’t need a huge amount u just need some olive oil for it to taste nice 4

  • @
@dominicdecoco7950العام الماضي Im an advocate for oil substitutes but in a meal prep scenario 100-200 cals of olive oil is fine spread across say 5 meals
  • @
@AKIRA__قبل 11 أشهر You know 12ml of water = 12grams of water, but the same doesn't imply to oil
  • @
@mohammed.b8713منذ 2 سنوات This is not olive oil , olive oil is green 1
  • @
@theRealJohnErtelقبل 11 أشهر Except monounsaturated fats in olive oil are associated with a longer lifespan. 100 calories of olive oil per day will extend your life as long as you're not overconsuming calories.
  • @
@GigaNigga1111قبل 11 أشهر Its not like all that oil will be on my food, over half of that stays on the pan. Also millilitres is not the same as grams. 12ml is lighter than 12 grams
  • @
@Loha2005العام الماضي Honestly just leave a like 120 cals open for oil when you cook. The worst thing yiu can do is cook with refined vegetable oil like canola. That will make you even more fat.
  • @
@rbux1636العام الماضي 15ml of my olive oil is 80 cals so idk how that's possible 1
  • @
@Sam-oo1uoالعام الماضي I'd much rather use actual oil than some chemical crap lacking nutrients that tastes awful. I typically use 5-10ml to cook around 4 servings, wouldn't use 11ml just for one meal.
